We are looking for a flexible team player to join our Cambridge (UK) team and to be responsible for the site store as well as support our team in some basic lab tasks

 

Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Fully responsible for all stock management for our Cambridge site
  • Management of purchase orders, processing and all relevant paperwork
  • Ensure correct stock quantities and updated inventory system

 

Management of deliveries

  • Management of delivery vehicles, receiving goods, tracking and ensuring quality / tracking of variances
  • Updating and tracking of orders and deliveries in Oracle and relevant systems
  • Act as the Superuser for Oracle

 

Laboratory Support Duties

  • Glass ware washing and restocking
  • Autoclaving
  • Media/Plate making
  • Removing hazardous/clinical waste from labs
  • Working in accordance with all Health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is desirable
  • Training will be provided where necessary

 

Essential

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Experience in an inward goods environment
  • Experience with HSE regulations
  • Must have computer knowledge: excel, word and outlook

 

Desirable

Some basic knowledge of lab support duties, including media preparation and autoclaving
