    As part of an expanding Protein Sciences Group at our Cambridge, UK site, we are looking to employ an enthusiastic and dedicated team member. Our team has a broad remit with exciting exposure to innovative technologies, innovative therapeutic projects and experts on site.


    We are currently recruiting an individual to join our analytics team. This team is responsible for all aspects of protein characterization from standard batch QC to bespoke analytics and lead developability assessment on a variety of different mAb-derived formats. You will closely interact with other teams and departments to ensure a seamless transfer of material and data.

    • Perform regular QC on protein batches coming from the USP/DSP team in support of therapeutic project teams. Minimal and concise report writing required to communicate findings.
    • Develop bespoke analytical experiments to address project specific questions and lead the experimental execution and communication across different teams.
    • Evaluate new technologies, procedures, and technical developments for their suitability to enhance Agenus’ capabilities. This includes new analytical and lead developability assay development.
    • Analyze and interpret data from own and colleagues’ work to project teams.
    • Communicate clearly and confidently to small teams of experts as well as larger audiences.
    • Concise and timely documentation of experiments and results using electronic laboratory notebooks.
    • Have a flexible approach to changing demands by assisting colleagues during peak activities.


    • PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline. PostDoctoral experience beneficial, but not essential.
    • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively work with scientists of different disciplines and teams.
    • Proven experience of protein analytics using a variety of techniques and protein formats.
    • Demonstrated ability of data analysis and interpretation and great aptitude of picking up new methods and concepts quickly.
    • Confident in documenting results and communicating to an expert audience.
    • Some experience in protein expression and/or purification beneficial.
